This is just a simple list of how and where to find Windows icons to customize your desktop. I like to make my recycle bin look like a dollar sign. Just right click on the icon you want to change, click on properties then click on change icon.

Note the shortcut tab on top

Then you will see this window to then next click on Browse:

If you have changed the icon previously it will start you from that directory.

After browse opens start typing the following choices in the file name area the file paths are as under pictures in caption area to use as a reference for choices:
