What is Chrislam? It is the merger of Christianity and Islam.
Pope Francis had travelled to Abu Dhabi earlier this year and entered into a covenant with Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, the ruling leader in Sunni Islam. That peace covenant led to the formation of a Chrislam interfaith council, which then led to the stunning announcement that a Chrislam headquarters would be open in Abu Dhabi by 2022 that will also house a mosque and church. Now Pope Francis has travelled to Thailand where he met with the ruling Buddhist leader there, and as in Abu Dhabi, presented him with a copy of his Declaration On Human Fraternity’, the Vatican manifesto of the One World Religion.
During the trip, the pope signed a joint declaration with the grand imam of al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed el-Tayeb, that called for religious tolerance and dialogue. An interfaith council to oversee projects advancing tolerance was formed as a result of the declaration and named the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity. The Abrahamic Family House is its first initiative. The Abrahamic Family House is a project of Safdie Architects to present the idea of “Diversity Within Unity”.
This architecture project aims to bring together a synagogue, a mosque, and a church within a shared public park. Located in Saadiyat Island Cultural District, the design of each religion’s unique and specific worship space would evoke history, traditions, and rituals of particular religion where all of them can be seen together forming an integrated and unified house. All religions including atheists.
Each of these worship halls has been conceived as a variation of the sphere because it is considered a sacred form. The sphere symbolizes oneness, the equity before God of all who worship. All, unique shapes such as dome and circle, are based on symbols in sacred buildings of all Abrahamic religions.
Safdie Architects explains that The Abrahamic Family House sets in a body of water to create an oasis in the desert environment. It makes sense since water is the embodiment of life. Those three worship halls reflect in the pond, creating a sense of magical weightlessness, seeking the ephemeral. These buildings touch the earth lightly as they rise toward heaven, shimmering in the light.
The Mosque, Synagogue, and Church will be entered off a common plaza that lean-on the principal gateway. People can arrive at the Plaza to worship at different times, which will sometimes mingle in the entry piazza. The Mosque is located on the axis of Mecca (or towards the West), the Synagogue is located on the axis facing Jerusalem, while the Church with a more flexible tradition of orientation, faces the North. The public arrives at the visitor center that’s placed below this Piazza, in the cool shelter within the pond. A house of worship for Christians, Jews, Muslims is being built in Berlin as well.
The Pope has been a busy man, last year was the first meeting of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism with the Vatican on Dec. 8, “a new partnership” between Pope Francis and Fortune 500 companies. According to its website, “the movement” is described as “a historic collaboration of CEOs and global leaders working with the moral guidance of Pope Francis to harness the power of business for good.” The Council for Inclusive Capitalism was founded in 2014 by Lynn Forester de Rothschild.
This page is an update on the most recent news regarding a One World Religion, look for a more in-depth post on how this is all being brought together with what organizations involved in the future. You can imagine the depth this agenda has if the Pope has brought to life all the actions in this article in just a six-month period.
